JDRF's 'Walk to Cure Diabetes' coming April 26

More than 150 walkers representing local businesses, families, schools and other organizations are expected to participate in this year's JDRF Greater MO/Southern IL Chapter's Walk to Cure Diabetes planned for 8:30 a.m. on April 26 at the Engler Park-Knight Pavilion in Farmington.

The chapter has set a fundraising goal of $30,000, which will help fund critically needed type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

"We are excited about the walk in southeast Missouri," said M. Marie Davis, executive director. "So many of our greatest supporters are from this area. We are inspired by all those living with type 1 diabetes and deeply appreciate all the help as we walk to turn Type One into Type None."
